Perhaps one of our customers’ favorite routes, this circular ride of around 50 kilometers and 1.200 meters of positive elevation, perfectly meets the demands of anyone who pedals it.

Starting at the Parador de Tejeda, the iconic hotel at the summit of Gran Canaria, the journey begins with a gentle 3-kilometer ascent along winding roads, soon leading to a long descent down to Artenara. The views are unmatched and for nearly 12 kilometers, every corner will surprise you: the Pinos de Gáldar area and its volcanic crater or the stunning vistas of Tenerife from the intersection with the GC-150 road, make this descent an unforgettable experience on the bike. Artenara is famous for being the highest village on the island above sea level. From here, we’ll take the detour that leads us to Tejeda through a hypnotic and fast descent.

Recognized as one of the most beautiful villages in Spain and renowned for its architecture, flora, and cuisine, Tejeda is an essential stop to soak in its charm and savor its delicious almond-based pastries.

The second half of the route involves tackling long climbs toward Roque Bentayga and the village of Ayacata, where its imposing cliffs will test our legs. A final effort on the 8-kilometer climb to the renowned Roque Nublo, visible from many points along the road, leads us back to the Parador de Tejeda through a gentle descent, perfect for loosening up and enjoying the final kilometers of the route.

Feel the wonderful sensation of cycling at the summit of Gran Canaria on this circular route that will push your limits and challenge your best legs.
